If you are not conversant in Kahoot, it is a free web-based program that enables lecturers to create inquiries to their students who then respond from a range of answers located on their own devices either individually or by team. It records the students' answers to a matter, still as however quickly they respond, thus lecturers will use the information to assess their youngsters. There are different types of Kahoots available; quizzes, surveys, jumbles, discussions, and challenges.

Teachers can create their own quizzes, duplicate and edit alternatives created and shared by other academics, or just play Kahoots created by alternative users. Teachers set a game to play and a game pin is made and displayed on the screen. Kids can connect it by clicking the link that is shared by the creator. Once all kids have connected, you are able to begin the quiz. The questions are given on the screen with text or with pictures that support the text, and youngsters are given an assigned time to respond with their smartphones or computers. Kahoot allocates every multiple-choice answer a color and a form that youngsters see on their own devices and choose by clicking or tapping on them. Children receive up to a thousand points depending on the speed with which they respond correctly and a leaderboard displays the top five in the overall rank. Each individual receives separate feedback. For example, when you tap on the right answer your screen will immediately turns to green, and when you tap on the wrong answer, your screen turns to red. It is a good feature for the lecturers because they can see whether the class really understands the topic, which the lecturer tells them, or not. According to the percentage of the wrong answers, the lecturer revise the topic or the unite, if necessary. This is great feedback for the lecturer and can be used for supporting the learners.

A Survey Mode is, however, used for collecting data. It searches for opinions rather than right or wrong answers. According to opinions given, as a lecturer, you can gather information based on which the survey is. Another mode is Jumble. It is rather different from the Kahoot Quizzes in that it needs a lot of focus from the players. It asks players to put the letters or words in a correct word or sentence form.

The final feature is Discussion which is similar to the Survey Mode. The distinction here is that you are asking a matter, however, you are not looking for specific knowledge. There are not any right or wrong answers. Your goal is, as a lecturer, to start out a discussion among the players. Once the results are in, you can be able to want your students to explain why they selected one answer over another. All in all, Kahoot is a straightforward and fun platform offering lecturers access to a free and approach to learning through gamification.
